A winter storm system will bring rain to the Twin Cities this evening, transitioning to sleet and snow as temperatures drop into the upper 30s by 10 p.m. East winds of 10-20 mph will accompany the system throughout the evening hours. Freezing rain is also possible during the transition period overnight into Thursday morning.
